South Bass Island Lighthouse
Owned and operated by Ohio Sea Grant, discover information about the area’s history and the most pressing issues facing Lake Erie before accessing the top of the lighthouse tower to see an expansive view of Put-in-Bay. Tour the South Bass Island Lighthouse from 11 a.m. − 5 p.m. June 9, July 18, August 11, September 8 or October 13, 2018. You can also schedule a group tour (10 or more people) April through November by contacting the Stone Lab Bayview office.
Visitors can climb the stairs to take in a great view of Put-in-Bay from the top of the tower, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The grounds are open to the public dawn to dusk most days, but are occassionally closed for private events.
